Ground water
monitoring results submitted by Oeden indicate that beneficial toes of ground water beneath the
former waste pile have not been affected nor tive=ned.
More specifically, results of your monthly monitoring program for monitoring wells MW-1, -Z„73,
and-4 for the period of Juno through November of this year show no constituents of concern
above quandration limits, with the exception of 2.1 m2/1 TRPH reported for September in MW-3,
79 µg/l TPH-D reported for.Pune in MW-4, and 72µg/1 TPH-D reported for October in MW-1.
Since B=, TPH-G, and TPH-D were not also detected in MW-3 samples,it appears unlikely
that petroleum-fuel constituents are reflected by The single TRPH result. The two isolated TPH-D
detections were below the taste&odor threshold for diesel in water(100µg/1)indicating that .
beneficial uses are not affected nor threatened. TPH-D has not been found in subsequent.monthly
samples from the same wells. All field filtered samples show lead to be below quantitation limits,
providing additional evidence that lead detections in previous-year samples were likely the result
of lead-containing sediment in those earlier samples, rather than true ground water concentrations.
Basoed on the information provided by Ogden and your consultant, Kieinfelder Inc.,Board staff,
has determined that appropriate response actions have been completed, that acceptable remedial
practices were implemented, and that, at this time,no further investigation, remedial or removal
action, or monitoring is required at the Ogden Soils'Treatment Facility silt, 1900 Navy Drive
(a.k.a. 1401 Fresno Street), Stockton. This finding will be noticed in the agenda for the Regional
Water Board's 27 January 1994 meeting.
Nothing in this determination shall constitute or be construed as a satisfaction or release from
liability for any conditions or claims arising as a result of past, current. or future operations at this
location.
