Lisa Medina [EH ]
From: Kasey Jones < kaseyjones@stratusinc.net>
Sent: Monday, August 26, 2013 10:47 AM
To: Nuel Henderson [EH]
Cc: Lisa Medina [EHj
Subject: RE: DPE Pilot Test Evaluation & Summary - Barnes Trucking - 1817 Fresno Avenue,
Stockton
Attachments: Barnes-O&M DPE test - Table 4.pdf
Importance: High
Good morning Nuel,
i
I have made the revisions to Table 4, as we discussed last week. As you can see, the "Cumulative
GRO Removed" column has been revised .
As you know, the DPE system started and stopped nearly every day due to various reasons. It is our
expectation that once the DPE system is up and running continuously and consistently and the
groundwater drawdown stabilizes, the extraction rates will increase substantially. Additionally, the
cost associated with proceeding with the 30-day DPE event will differ greatly from the costs required
to start the 5-day test. The sewer discharge permit approved for the 5-day test will just take some
simple revisions to get it approved for the 30 day test. Additionally, the 0&M costs will be
substantially lower ( per week) for the30 day event than they were for the 5-day test.
We believe that by conducting the 30-day DPE event, we will be able to reduce petroleum
hydrocarbon concentrations to levels that will permit us to evaluate the case for closure under the
low threat closure policy. Please do not hesitate to contact mw if you have any questions or require
dHy dd itiona I -information.
Sincerely,
Kasey L. ]ones
Senior Project Manager
STRATUS ENVIRONMENTAL, INC.
PH (415 ) 516-0373
www,stratusinc. net
APlease consider the environment before printing this entail
From : Kasey ]ones [ma iIto : kaseyjones@stratusinc.net]
Sent: Wednesday, August 21, 2013 3 : 09 PM
To: Lisa Medina [EH] (lmedina(@sjcehd .com)
Subject: DPE Pilot Test Evaluation & Summary - Barnes Trucking - 1817 Fresno Avenue, Stockton
Dear Ms. Medina :
t
