Clearwater recommends preparation of an updated Corrective Action Plan
(CAP) to address high concentrations of contaminants in the vicinity of wells AS-1 and DPW-1 ,
The EHD agrees with this recommendation . Please proceed with submittal of an updated CAP.
The CAP is due for submittal no later than February 26 , 2010.
In the updated CAP please clarify, or redo, the calculations used to determine the mass of
adsrberurination—pridrtoor ediatio»>he calculations sob-mittedwith the
November 20, 2002 CAP first state the thickness of the soil profile used is 10 feet, then state the
depth interval of samples used to determine the average concentration is from 19-25 feet bsg ,
which is 6 feet, then lists samples used from 11 feet bsg to 26 feet bsg , which is 15 feet, and did
not include results from tank pit samples collected at 16 feet bsg.
Clearwater also proposes, at the next groundwater sampling event, to collect two groundwater
samples from different depths in well DPE-1 , both using low flow purge technique. The EHD
approves this proposal.
If you have any questions please call Lori Duncan at (209) 468-0337.
Sincerely,
(07A
Lori Duncan , REHS Nuel C.
