Once in operation the system should be operated until the decline in contaminant mass recovery rate reaches a point that additional mass recovery will not be significant compared to the residual mass and the recovered mass — often referred to as asymptomatic recovery or declining cost-effectiveness. If at this point the benzene concentration happens to be constant at 2, 990 ppb — ok, we've done what could be done, but better if the concentration is in the hundreds of ppb. EHD concurrence with ceasing a remedial action is required , but I believe you'll find us reasonable on this point.
