The water table declined more than 4 feet at well 4 and <br /> presumably in the region as a whole. The annual highest elevation of the water table <br /> (assumed to be represented by second quarter measurements) declined about 9 feet since <br /> 2003 or about 1 foot per year. The monitoring wells were designed to intersect about 10 <br /> feet of saturated aquifer at the time of their construction. Owing to the regional decline <br /> of the water table the wells are no longer useful and must be deepened. <br /> 2 <br />
