Well 5 contained water <br /> during the first and second quarters but was dry during the third and fourth quarters. <br /> Well 4, the background well, contained water in each quarter of 2012. The water level <br /> elevation in Well 4 declined 4.42 feet in the third quarter relative to its position in the <br /> second quarter of 2013. It contained less than 3 feet of water and will likely be <br /> completely dry by the next round of sampling. Figure 2 is a hydrograph of Well 4. The <br /> annual highest elevation of the water table (assumed to be represented by second quarter <br /> measurements) declined about 9 feet since 2003 or about 1 foot per year.
