SGI is presenting this <br /> scope of work on behalf of the law firm of Herum Crabtree Brown. This law firm is representing <br /> the City of Ripon in litigation with the operators of the Ripon Farm Service property (Site) <br /> located at 938 Frontage Road in Ripon, California. The scope of work presented herein will <br /> support this litigation. <br /> SCOPE OF WORK <br /> Activities will include installing five shallow monitoring wells (three onsite, two offstie) and two <br /> deeper offsite monitoring wells to assess the presence of nitrate in groundwaterti. The field <br /> investigation will include permitting, drilling, soil sampling, well installation, development, <br /> surveying, and groundwater sampling and analysis. <br /> Prefield Activities <br /> The Source Group will perform pre-field activities including preparation of a site-specific Health <br /> and Safety Plan (HASP), submittal of a Drilling Permit Application, and utility locating for <br /> selecting final well location. <br /> The site-specific HASP will comply with federal OSHA regulations (29 CFR, Section 1910.120). <br /> All SGI personnel and subcontractors associated with the project will be required to be familiar <br /> and comply with all provisions of the HASP. <br /> An application to install two groundwater monitoring wells has been prepared and submitted <br /> herein along with appropriate fees to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Division <br /> (SJCEHD). Permits necessary for the remaining five wells will be submitted once access has <br /> been secured. <br /> A Site visit will be performed to mark the location of the proposed wells. Following the Site visit, <br /> Underground Services Alert (USA) will be notified of drilling at the marked location.
