A direct push drill rig will advance the boreholes to
just above the water table, estimated depth 25 feet below grade. Continuous soil samples
will be collected for the purpose of lithologic description and laboratory testing for
nitrate. This work is being done to better delineate areas on the site that have nitrate
concentrations in soil above the site specific soil cleanup concentration. This work is not
being done under the direction of the Regional Water Quality Control Board, and as such
no formal work plan has been prepared.
A figure is attached to each permit application identifying the parcel on which the soil
borings will be advanced. Boring locations will be determined in the field. Boring
identification numbers will be designated as the boreholes are advanced.
9 46 -
John D.
