Brief History of Site: <br /> The Job location, the north east corner of Main and Grant was used at <br /> one time as a used car lot. On this lot there was a 1,000 gallon <br /> underground gasoline fuel tank which was removed about two years ago. <br /> The soil analysis report from that removal indicated there was some <br /> indication of contamination in the soil beneath the tank. The soil <br /> analysis indicated that contamination of the soil below the tank. <br /> North Cal Construction has been employed to clean up the contaminated <br /> area. <br /> 5. Ground Water: Ref City Public Works, 944-8401. <br /> Total amount of dirt to be excavated by backhoe operation is <br /> approximately 20 cubic yards. All dirt will be placed back in the <br /> hole upon .completion of soil sampling. Hole will be lined with <br /> plastic 30-60 mil thickness prior to backfill. <br /> 6. Remedial steps to be taken to clean up the soil contamination may con- <br /> sist of aeration by backhoe of the contaminated soil, if permitted by the <br /> county. If not allowed to areate the contaminated soil, then the contami- <br /> nated soil will be removed to the contaminated land fill in Buttonwillow, <br /> California. <br />
