O. Box 388
Stockton, CA 95201
Subject: Free Product Removal
Larry's Auto Repair - 308 North Grant Street
Stockton, California
Dear Ms. Turkatte:
During the September 23, 1994 monitoring event at the subject site,0.05 feet of free product
were observed in MW-4. The free product appears to be diesel fuel. In accordance with the
Title 23, Division 3, Chapter 16, Section 2655 of the California Code of Regulations for
underground storage tanks, Geological Audit Services, Inc. (GeoAudit) proposes the
following procedures for removal of the free product at the site.
Free product will be removed by band bailing. A disposible bailer will be lowered halfway
through the water/air interface and removed. The bailer will then be inspected for the
presence of free product. This will be continued until several bailers are removed where no
free product is visible. A minimum of one gallon of water will be removed during each
removal procedure.
Free product removal procedures will be conducted weekly for the first month and twice a
month thereafter beginning October 10, 1994.This schedual may be modified as determined
by field observations. Procedures will be performed by a representative of GeoAudit.
No discharge of purge water will be conducted. Purge water and free product will be placed
in 55-gallon DOT drums and stored in a locked building at the site. Purge water will be
disposed of according to standard protocal at a later date.
Full Spectrum Environmental Services• Hydrogeology
