Grant SITE CODE 1122
Stockton, California
San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD) has reviewed the
status of the file on the above noted site and has the following comments.
The file review has revealed a lack of activity at this site since the November 1989 drilling of three soil
borings. The subsequent Preliminary Assessment Report, prepared by Waterwork Corporation and
received by PHS/EHD on October 3, 1990, proposed a groundwater investigation for this site.
In a letter dated March 21, 1991 from this office to Denver Associates, with a copy being sent to you, a
workplan for the installation of the proposed monitoring wells was requested. The letter stated that the
workplan was to be submitted to PHS/EHD by Apel 22, 1991. As of this date,PHS/EHD has not
received a workplan for any additional work or monitoring wells for this site.
In order to proceed with the progress at this site a workplan to investigate the full extent of the soil and
1&0' groundwater contamination should be submitted to this office and the Central Valley Regional Water
Quality Control Board by August 17, 1992.
It is the responsibility of this agency to ensure compliance with all applicable Federal and State
Underground Tank Laws and Regulations, including those pertaining to the investigation and cleanup of
sites contaminated from leaking underground storage tanks. Reimbursement from the State Water
Resources Control Board's 'Underground Storage Tank Cleanup Fund Program' is partly dependent on
your compliance with directives from PHS/EI-IIID. Failure to be in compliance may disqualify you from
receiving reimbursement funds.
If there are any questions please contact Linda Turkatte, RENS, of my staff at (209) 468.0339.
Jogi Khanna, M.D., M.P.H.
Health officer
lrqie Pdola, REHS, Pdpgram Manager
Environmental Health Division
LAC/LT:lb
c: CVRWQCB- Beth Thayer
c: Denver Associates
c/o Kevin Berkemeier
P.O. box 690-308
Stockton, Ca. 95269
A Division M San Joaquin Co iy He lLh CSemco
