Submit a work
plan for groundwater extraction to the EHD by June 13, 2008.
The EHD has reviewed the analytical results for groundwater samples collected at your site and
directs that soil vapor wells VW-213, VW-3, VW-4, VW-513, and VW-5C, which are the closest to
being screened at the water table, be monitored and sampled semiannually instead of annually, as
was directed by the EHD by letter dated December 27, 2005. Groundwater collected from all wells
should be analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH) quantified as gasoline (TPHg);
benzene, toluene, ethyl benzene, and total xylenes (BTEX); methyl tertiary-butyl ether (MTBE),
ethyl tertiary-butyl ether (ETBE), tertiary-amyl methyl ether (TAME), di-isopropyl ether (DIPE),
tertiary butyl alcohol (TBA), 1,2-dichloroethane (1,2-DCA) and 1,2-dibromoethane (EDB). hi
addition, continue to analyze for TPH quantified as diesel (TPHd) in groundwater collected from
MW-4, and analyze for TPHd in groundwater collected from the four newly-proposed monitoring
wells at least once. If TPHd is detected in any of the newly installed monitoring wells, the well(s)
should be sampled and analyzed for TPHd the following quarter(s) until concentrations for TPHd
are reported as non-detect. Annually report analyses for isopropylbenzene,n-propylbenzene, 1,3,5-
trimethybenzene, 1,2,4-trimethylbenzene, p-isopropyltoluene, and naphthalene for groundwater
collected from all monitoring wells and vapor extraction wells.
The EHD does not have the complete boring log for cone penetration test boring CPT-2. Please
submit a copy of this boring log to the EHD at your earliest convenience.
