Charles Skobrak -4- April 21, 2011
Claim No. 1028
feasibility of a groundwater remediation technology such as air sparging. The
Fund will review this site next year to track progress.
UPDATED, May 2010, this site has been under investigation since 1987.
Though soil vapor extraction has been underway since 2008, no active
groundwater remediation has been conducted and significant groundwater
contamination remains. Since the recent air sparging pilot test was promising,
the Fund recommends that the San Joaquin County LOP consider directing the
Responsible Party to begin air sparging to achieve Water Quality Objectives
more rapidly. The Fund will review this site next year to track progress.
UPDATED, April 2011, by 11 October 2010 letter, the San Joaquin County LOP
approved an air sparging work plan. The Fund concurs that active groundwater
remediation is necessary to achieve Water Quality Objectives in a timely manner.
Kirk Larson, P.G. Date Robert Trommer, C.H.G.
