07 June 2012
AGE-NC Project No. 95-0184
water, adsorbed petroleum hydrocarbons will be liberated and force hydrocarbon vapors
into the vadose zone, where they can be withdrawn by the SVE system described above.
3.6. PREPARATION OF REPORT OF FINDINGS
Remediation reports, along with the ongoing semi-annual ground water monitoring reports,
will be prepared presenting the findings from SVE/IAS remedial activities. Additionally, a
supplemental report will be prepared summarizing the findings of the above proposed
remediation. Reports will include a description of work performed and the results of the soil
vaporand ground water monitoring/sampling/analysis.Conclusions and recommendations
will also be included in the reports, if applicable. Reports will be in a format acceptable to
CVRWQCB guidelines, and will be reviewed and signed by a California Professional
Geologist.
4.0. FIELD PROCEDURES
All field procedures will be overseen by an AGE representative under the supervision of
a California Registered Geologist. Procedures for pilot boring advancement, soil sample
collection, well installation, development and survey are outlined below.
4.1. INSTALLATION OF SVE/IAS WELLS
Four additional shallow-screened SVE wells and two shallow-screened (45-50 feet bsg)
and two deep-screened (68-70 feet bsg) IAS wells will be installed at the southern UST
area at the site. The SVE wells will be advanced to total depths of 35 feet bsg and IAS
wells will be advanced to total depths of 50 feet and 70 feet bsg. Borings for all SVE and
IAS wells will be advanced utilizing 8-inch diameter augers and a truck-mounted
hollowed-stem auger drill rig.
The SVE well pilot borings will be completed utilizing 2-inch diameter, Schedule 40 PVC,
0.020-inch slotted well screen installed from 10 feet to 35 feet bsg and blank casing
extending to the surface. Shallow IAS well pilot borings will be completed utilizing 2-inch
diameter, Schedule 40 PVC, 0.010-inch slotted well screen installed from 45 feet to 50 feet
bsg and blank casing extending to the surface; Deep IAS well pilot borings will be
completed utilizing 2-inch diameter, Schedule 40 PVC, 0.010-inch slotted well screen
installed from 68 feet to 70 feet bsg and blank casing extending to the surface.
Advanced GeoEnviron rental,Inc.
