Site Background Information: Larry's Auto
AGE-NC Project No. 95-0184
ANALYTICAL RESULTS OF GRAB GROUND WATER SAMPLES
A total of twenty-nine grab ground water samples were collected and analyzed for the
petroleum hydrocarbon constituents listed in Section 2.2.; the analytical results are listed
according to the hydrogeologic unit in which the samples were collected (Table 2).
HU2
TPH-g was detected in ground water samples CPT1-66 and CPT5-67 at concentrations
of 84,000 micrograms per liter (Ng/1) and 3,900 pg/I, respectively.
BTEX compounds were detected in samples CPT1-66 and CPT5-67 at the following
respective concentrations: 6,600 pg/I and 1,800 pg/I benzene, 25,000 pg/I and 6.6 pg/I
toluene, 2,400 pg/I and 72 pg/I ethylbenzene, and 18,200 pg/I and 52.6 pg/I total xylenes.
The fuel additives DIPE,TAME,and 1,2-DCAwere detected. DIPE was detected in sample
CPT-1-66 at a concentration of 2.3 pg/I. TAME was detected in samples CPT1-66 and
CPT5-67 at concentrations of 65 pg/I and 120 pg/I, respectively. 1,2-DCA was detected in
samples CPT1-66 and CPT5-67 at concentrations of 13 pg/I and 58 pg/I, respectively.
HU3
Only one ground water sample (CPT5-108) was collected from the base of HU3. TPH-g
was detected at 7,200 pg/I, BTEX compounds were detected at 980 Ng/I benzene, 560 pg/I
toluene, 570 Ng/I ethylbenzene, and 1 ,530 pg/1 xylenes; the fuel additives DIPE, TAME,
and 1,2-DCA were detected at concentrations of 3.8 pg/1, 76 pg/1, and 34 pg/I, respectively.
HU4
TPH-g was detected in samples CPT1-117, CPT1-135, and CPT6-117 at concentrations
of 450 pg/I, 5,800 pg/I, and 240 pg/I, respectively. BTEX compounds were detected in
samples CPT1-117, CPT1-135, and CPT6-117 at maximum concentrations of 180 pg/I
benzene, 690 pg/I toluene, 240 pg/I ethylbenzene, and 1,050 pg/I total xylenes, in the
sample from CPT1-135. Fuel additives were not detected.
HU5
Only one ground water sample (CPT7-138) was collected from HU5; petroleum
hydrocarbons were not detected in this sample.
Advanced GeoEnvironmenlal,Inc
