1 -
' Quarterly Report - Fourth Quarter 2001
• LARRY'S AUTO
' 308 North Grant Street, Stockton, California
' 1.0. INTRODUCTION
' At the recfuest ofMr Charles Skobrak,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE)has prepared this
quarterly report for the property located at 308 North Grant Street, Stockton, California The scope
of work included quarterly ground water monitoring and preparation of this report The location of
' the site and the immediately surrounding area is illustrated on Figure 1, structures and monitoring
well locations on the site are illustrated on Figure 2 Background information is summarized in the
AGE-prepared Quarterly Report-August 1997
I
2.0. PROCEDURES
Field work was performed in accordance with guidelines issued by the California Regional Water
Quality Control Board - Central Valley Region (CVRWQCB) for investigation of underground
storage tank (UST) sites Ground water monitoring procedures were performed as outlined in the
RESNA-prepared Assessment of Soil and Groundwater Contamination, dated 17 September 1993
and approved by the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD)by letter dated
lie 28 September 1993
2 1 WELL MONITORING AND EVACUATION
On 21 December 2001, a Solinst water level meter was used to measure the depth to ground water
in five ground water monitoring wells and five vapor extraction wells relative to the tops of the well
casings The ground water elevations and gradient were determined from this data (Table 1)
After recording water level measurements,two-stage submersible pumps were used to evacuate the
wells of standing water The wells were evacuated in order of from least contaminated to most
contaminated, based on previous monitoring data The purge pumps were decontaminated prior to
evacuating each well using an Alconox solution and double-nnsed with clean water
Between 16 and 21 gallons of water were evacuated from monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-4,
and between 10 and 14 gallons of water were evacuated from monitoring well MW-7 and vapor
extraction wells VW-2C,VW-3,VW-4 and VW-5C,approximately 4 gallons of water were removed
I from vapor extraction well VW-5B Groundwater temperature,pH and conductivity were measured
at regular intervals during the purge process using either a Hydac or an Oakton water analyzer
Purged water was stored on site in labeled, 55-gallon DOT-approved drums The field data sheets
Iare included in Appendix A
■ Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc
