The survey was performed in order
to calculate the shallow ground water flow direction and
hydraulic gradient at the site.
On September 27, 1990, and October 1, 3990, prior to
development, purging, and sampling of the wells, the depth
to ground water was measured in each well from the top of
casing to the nearest 0.01 foot using an electric sounder,.
Ground water at the site had stabilized at elevations
ranging from 21.20 to 21.79 feet above mean sea level
(NGVD-1929) . The survey elevation data and water level
measurements are presented in Table 3.
3.2 Analyt1Ca1 Procedi,rar and R g„ltc
All soil and ground water analyses were performed using
standard test methods of the U.S. Environmental Protection
Agency (EPA) and the California Department of Health Services .
(Cal-DHS) , as discussed below.
3.2-1 Analysis of Soil Samples
A total of three soil samples were collected from the four
soil borings at depths -ranging from .6 to 10 feet :below
grade. Selected soil samples were analyzed for .TPH-D and
TPH-G using EPA Methods 5030 and 8015; BTEX by EPA Methods
5030 and 8020; and organic lead (Pb) using the .
California-DHS (LUFT) method.
