Quantitation is performed, as total hydrocarbon response, against
known concentrations of heptane-isooctane (55/45). The limit of detection for
the method of analysis is one part per Trillion (mg/kg).
Samples are analyzed for lead content after digestion in nitric acid and peroxide.
(EPA 3050) by InductivelY Coupled Argon Plasma Emission Spectroscopy.
Samples are analyzed for ethylene dibromide (EDS) by following a modified EPA
Method 601 procedure. The volatile components of the sample are concentrated on
a Tekmar LSC-2 automatic sample concentrator prior to injection into a gas chrona-
tagraph equipped th a Nall detector. Quantitation is performed against known
concentrations of ED9. The limit of detection for this method of aria is
five parts per billion
The results are displayed in the table below.-
CONCENTRATIGf; (mg/kg)-
ERG: - CLIENT ID Pb Total Hydrocarbon ED3
7626-15 .3 46 FJD(J.OL'5)
7626=2 _2 12 150 tiD(G.QQ5)
Submitted` by:.
Robert B.
