The limit of detection for
the method of analysis is one part per million (mg/kg).
Samples are analyzed for lead content after digestion in nitric acid and peroxide
(EPA 3050) by Inductively Coupled Argon Plasma Emission Spectroscopy.
samples are analyzed for ethylene dibromide:..(EDS) by following a modified EPA
Method 601 procedure. The volatile components of the sample are concentrated on
a Tekmar LSC-2 automatic sample concentrator prior to injection into a gas chroma-
tograph equipped with a Hall detector.
Quantitation is performed against knownconcentrations of EDB. The limit of detection for this method of analysis is
five parts per billion (ug/kg).
The results are displayed in 1-he table below:
CONCENTRATION (mg/kg)
ERG CLIENT`ID Pb Total Hydrocarbon EDB
7626-1 1 5..3 46 tdD{0:005}
7626-2 T2 I2. 150 frD(0.005)
Submitted by:
Robert B.
