Box 2009
Stockton, CA 95201
!MOBIL, 500 EAST GRANT LINE ROAD, TRACY, SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY r
I have reviewed the file for this site and the report "Supplemental Site
Investigation", dated 27 June 1991, prepared by Alton Geoscience. I also
received your recent letter to Mobil , dated 5 September 1991, and I concur
with all comments and requests for submittals.
However, our file is missing some -information which may or may not be .
available in other documents:
1. The historic depth to ground water (DTW) was not found in our file. The
current DTW is about 10.5 feet. A shallower DTW might explain the soil
contamination at 6.5 feet across Grant Line Road.
2. Our file has no soil sample results from the- side walls and base of the
excavation. This information is useful for determining the
contamination remaining in soils off-site and under Grant Line Road.
If this information is available in your files, please forward or have Alton
forward. a copy to us. If this information is not available, it will be
necessary for Mobil to investigate the historic DTW and "off-site soil
contamination", which you already informed them to do, in your letter.
If you have any questions, please call me at (916) 361-5726.
ELIZAI3'E H A.
