Grant Line Rd.
Tracy, CA 95376
San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health
Division (PHS/EHD) has completed review of the report entitled
"Supplement Site Investigation" dated July 9, 1991, prepared by
Alton Geoscience. We have the following comments which are to be
addressed in your next quarterly report.
1. On July 9, 1990, soil excavation was initiated and
approximately 5, 080 cubic yards of soil was excavated and
disposed of at the Durham Road Landfill and the Liquid
Waste Management Facility. Please submit verification
that the soil was received by these facilities.
2. Analytical results from the qualitative shallow
groundwater survey completed April 30 and May 1, 1991,
were also tabulated, but the lab reports and chain of
custodies were not included. Please submit these
documents to PHS/EHD.
3 . Analytical results from soil samples B-2, B-3, B-4 and B-
9 were also tabulated, but the lab reports and chain of
custodies were not included. Please submit these
documents to PHS/EHD.
4 . Soil contamination is noted off-site. Analysis of boring
B-2 , converted to monitoring well AW-6, indicated that
total petroleum hydrocarbon (TPH) contamination at 6. 0
feet to 6.5 feet was 180 parts per million (ppm) and at
11. 0 feet to 11.5 feet was 5.4 ppm. Definition of the
off-site soil contamination is not adequate.
A DMsion of San Joaquin Counn-Health Care Services
