Your consultant, Western <br /> Geological Resources, Inc. submitted a letter report, to us, on 23 October <br /> 1989 , on the results of the soil vapor survey and well sampling efforts <br /> conducted in May 1989 . This letter report also contained recommendations <br /> on additional field investigations. <br /> As discussed in our comments, we believe it is time to commence the <br /> extraction of ground water from dewatering well DW-1, while the assessment <br /> of the full extent of ground water contamination is proceeding. In <br /> addition, the attached memorandum contains our recommendations on future <br /> site assessment activities. <br /> Please review the enclosed memorandum and submit to us your proposal to <br /> conduct the field investigations necessary to fully characterize the extent <br /> of ground water contamination from the spill, and your plans to extract, <br /> treat (if necessary) , and dispose�rof..ground water from dewatering well <br /> DW-1.
