UJ/26/9:/ Jti PAA 91b 32 'Uy USA 1TSL: -' LCJJ, UUJ/UU3
Kit Custis
January 26, 1999
Page 2
Given these caveats, the Human and Ecological Risk Division has reviewed the estimates of risk
and hazard, and agrees that they are technically sound. All cancer risk was substantially lower-
than 1 x 10', and all hazard estimates were substantially lower than unity (1). This was true for
all receptors and exposed persons evaluated_ Therefore, based upon the site sampling data
presented in the.risk assessment,no significant risk or hazard is expected. Use of ground water
for drinking or other beneficial uses, which was not a part of this assessment, is expected to
remain under the purview of the CVRWQCB, and nothing about this review is to be construed to
represent an opinion of DTSC on the beneficial uses of this resource.
Please feel free to call (916-327-2517)with any questions.
Sincerely;_
Stephen M.
