Gasoline range petroleum hydrocarbons were <br /> detected in soil samples collected from beneath the tank. This information was <br /> reported to the San Joaquin County ;Public Health Services Environmental Health <br /> Division (SJC-PHS-EHD) in the Geological.Technics Inc.-Tank Removal Report, 16865 <br /> Gawne Road, dated December 9, 1994. ' <br /> 2.0 PROPOSED INVESTIGATION <br /> To investigate the vertical and lateral extent of soil impacted with gasoline range <br /> ; <br /> petroleum hydrocarbons, Geological Technics Inc. proposes to install four (4) soil ; <br /> borings around and through the suspected. the point of release (Figure 2 Site Map). <br /> r <br /> 2.1 Soil Boring Installation <br /> x <br /> Soil boring permits will be secured and the local regulatory agency will be notified <br /> 48 hours prior to commencing work. ;The subsurface will be cleared of.underground <br /> utilities by notifying Underground Service Alert. <br /> Based on field observations made during tank closure work,k, it is expected that the <br /> four (4) borings will completed to 40' to.50 feet below ground surface. In all cases, <br /> any boring will be extended to a depth of twenty feet past the last field evidence of <br />
