GeoCogica(Tethnics Znc. Page 3
Moresco(Gawne-Rd.)
Addendum to 418197 Work Plan
Project No:'251`3
April 21, 1997
• Sample.Collection Equipment - Samples are collected by attaching-a one liter Tedlar Bag to a
hand pump by a length of clean poly tubing. The hand pump is then attached to the hose
barb or copper tubing by another length of poly tubing. The Tedlar Bag is then opened and
filled by.actuating the hand pump.
• Sampling Procedure- Samples of both influent and effluent vapor streams will be collected
` on a bimonthly basis. Once a month those samples will be submitted, by overnight courier,
to Sequoia Analytical in Sacramento, CA for BTEX, TPH-Gas and MTBE analysis. The
other collected samples will be field screened on site with a organic vapor meter. The OVM
is a field portable photo°ionization detector'that uses a :10.0 eV lamp to detect compounds
with ionization potential below 10.0 eV (hydrocarbon range). During each sampling event
the other parameters mentioned above, i.e. airspeed, temperature, etc., will also be measured
and recorded in a log book kept on site.
5:0 - Flow-Control-Valves- _ _—
i
Schedule 40 PVC ball valves will be used for making flow adjustments at the air recharge wells
and between.the extraction well and the TO unit. A length of PVC piping will extend above the k
valves on the recharge wells allowing for the addition of the PVC caps fitted with hose barbs so j
vacuum measurements may be taken.
6.0 Notification of Field Work and Sampling
i
San Joaquin County PHS/EI-ID will be notified 48 hours in advance of any construction,
sampling, startup or field work.
7.0 Boring Applications
An application for the installation of soil borings/well installation will be submitted with the
proper fees prior to the start of any field work.
i
Respectfully Submitted,
1
Raynold I.
