Fo
rP lanning PrP u oses we have identified 4 distinct types of
lithologic units present. .These units reoccur over the 100 foot column. It must be
noted that in most cases these units are not homogeneous but instead exhibit
degrees of intermixing. For this purpose we will assume that a good portion of the
subsurface geology of the site will be represented by testing.
Listed below are sediment descriptions with USCS identifier and their interval of
occurrence (underlined interval is where representative samples for geotechnical
} evaluation will be collected from .
• Clayey Silt.(ML) 0-5', 18-21',26-31'
• Silty Clay (CL) 11-18 46-53',67-72',82-93',97-100+
• Sand (SW/SP) 21-26', 31-41', 57-61',76-82',
Silty Sand (SM) 5-11', 41-46', 72-76',93-97'
Clayey Sand (SC) 55-57'
• Sand &Gravel (GP) 61-67,
We propose to collect a sample representative of each of these four units and test
each for geotechnical parameters and chemical concentration.
I
