In the interest of cost effectiveness, the first addendum also proposed <br /> that the exploratory borings be converted into a groundwater monitoring well, soil <br /> vapor extraction, and a multi level vapor monitoring well. Because interim remedial <br /> action feasibility testing was deemed',to'be not warranted by'the LOP we'.amend the <br /> proposed boring conversions to grout columns. <br /> It is proposed that this investigation focus on further defining the vertical and lateral <br /> (north and east) extent of contamination and gathering evidence to assess the <br /> candidacy of the site for a risk based closure. <br /> 2.0 PROPOSED WORK; <br /> 2.1 Subsurface Exploration Work <br /> i <br /> To further investigate the lateral and vertical extent of soil impacted by gasoline <br /> range petroleum hydrocarbons from the former UST at this site, Geological Technics <br /> Inc. proposes to advance two boreholes down to the capillary fringe (about 90 to 100 <br /> feet). One of the boreholes will be to the north (SB-5) and the other borehole will be <br /> east (SB-6) of the point of release (Figure 1 Site Map). SB-5 is proposed to be placed <br /> 4 <br />
