Two soil samples will be obtained for chemical analyses. One soil sample will be collected above the soil water interface. w.. Sampling equipment will be thoroughly cleaned between sampling intervals to avoid cross- contamination of the soil samples. The soil cuttings generated from the drilling activities, decontamination rinsate, and purge water will be collected in 55-gallon drums and secured with lids. The drums will be labeled and stored on site. Soil analytical results from the borings will be used to profile the drill cuttings for proper disposal. Soil samples will be analyzed for TPH-G using EPA Test Method 8015M, and for BTEX, MTBE, TBA, DIPE,ETBE, and TAME by EPA Test Method 8260B. Samples will be submitted under chain-of-custody procedure to a California-certified laboratory for analyses. All of the chemical analyses will be performed on a standard, non-rush turn-around basis. The new monitoring well, MW-4,will be developed and sampled no sooner than 48 hours after construction to ensure that the grout has completely set. The monitoring well will be developed in accordance with the attached Site-Specific Monitoring Well Development Procedures (Appendix Q. Monitoring well MW-4 will be surveyed relative to the three existing monitoring wells. n,� ,.�. L' Tasks 3 and 5—Semi-Annual Monitoring Well Sampling The three existing monitoring wells (MW-1, MW-2 and MW-3)will be sampled at the same time as the new monitoring well MW-4. Depth-to-groundwater measurements will be measured in all of the monitoring wells and groundwater samples will be collected in accordance with the Site- Specific Groundwater Sampling Procedures (Appendix Q. Groundwater samples will be analyzed for TPH-G using EPA Test Method 8015M, and for BTEX, MTBE, TBA, DIPE, ETBE, and TAME by EPA Test Method 8260.
