cbCurtis &Tompkins Ltd <br /> Laboratory Number 167752 Order Date 09/24/03 ' <br /> Client Treadwell & Rollo <br /> -Project Name -Brenkwitz Tracy=— <br /> 1 <br /> CASE NARRATIVE <br /> This hardcopy data package contains sample results and batch QC results for four <br /> water and nine soil samples received from the above referenced protect The samples , <br /> were received cold and intact <br /> Total Volatile Hydrocarbons(TVH) 1BTXE The TVH bromofluorobenzene , <br /> surrogate recovery for sample TR5-GG-9 (167752-012) was above acceptance limits <br /> due to coelution of the surrogate peak with hydrocarbon peaks The associated , <br /> tnfluorotoluene surrogate recovery was acceptable, therefore, there is no affect on the <br /> quality of the sample results <br /> The water matrix spike recoveries for gasoline were outside acceptance limits The ' <br /> associated laboratory control sample (LCS) recovery was acceptable and the spiked <br /> sample was not from this site No other analytical problems were encountered <br /> Total Extractable Hydrocarbons: The hexacosane surrogate recovery for <br /> sample TR7-GG-8 (167752-009) was below acceptance limits An attempt was made , <br /> to re-extract the sample, however, the re-extraction batch was lost due to equipment <br /> problems The results for this sample may be negatively biased No other analytical <br /> problems were encountered ' <br /> i 1 <br /> t <br /> t <br />
