I'll be back in the
office Thurs, Aug 10 at 8am.
I spoke with Karli at V&W. I ok'd start date Aug 10 for —7-days (her schedule, not
mine).
You'll be ok to start Thurs Aug 10.
I'll be onsite around 9am to deliver the permit to you and V&W. In an attempt to save
your RP some $$$$ and allow me to conduct the other grout inspections I have that
week, I'll be interested in how your drilling/grouting will proceed.
Assuming you plan on TWO holes per day and unless you leave the augers in the hole,
that could mean two inspections- one in the am for the first hole, then later in the pm
for the second hole. And if you plan on three or more hole per day, without multiple sets
of augers (to leave in each hole), I could be out there many times in one day.
I reviewed my field notes for the first set of wells. Typical grout inspection times show
me onsite, as an example, for MW-8 at 2pm and left at 330pm. 1.5 hours grout PLUS
drive time. MW-8 was 92' TO and the grout was 73 feet. I charged the site 2.2 hours
for this on Feb 15. Other wells were typically the same if not slightly lower in time.
If you consolidate the grout inspection down to one a day, you could save on my drive
time. Grout times should be close to the same. As a suggestion, if you drill TWO wells,
then you'll could plan on leaving —70-feet of augers in the first hole, then drill the
second one. Call me out for the second well grout, then when done, we go to the first
well and grout it. One trip, two grouts.
This will require the drillers to bring out enough augers. If not possible, then plan on
8/4/2006
