Hazelton Avenue
Stockton, Ca. 95201
Dear Ms. Cottula:
On July 30, 1988, PG&E submitted a copy of the report
"Characterization of the Tracy Service Center Underground Tank Site"
dated June, 1988 to the San Joaquin County Local Health District
(SJCLHD). At that time, it was indicated that the SJCLHD would be
kept informed of further work associated with this investigation.
PG&E has now completed the review of the data from the Tracy Service
Center underground tank investigation. Due to the limited extent of
petroleum range hydrocarbons found in the soil and non-potable
or undwT ter, it is recommended that a monitoring program be
established at this time.
PG&E proposes the following:
Install two additional monitoring wells (OW-7, OW-8) in the upper
aquifer, down gradient from OW-6 (See attached map).
Sample wells OW-7 and OW-8 on a semi-annual basis for the following
constituents: total petroleum hydrocarbons, benzene, toluene,
ethylbenzene, and xylene.
Sample results will be reviewed by PG&E and forwarded to the SJCLHD
within 30 days of each sampling date.
The methods for installing and sampling the wells will be the same
as described in the above referenced report.
