San Joaquin County Public Health Services-Environmental Hea&h Division
MEMO OF GALL
NAME: Susan Giles DATE: 3123193
FIRM: Mobil Oil Corp;Real Estate Div. TIME:PM
PERSON TAKING or MAKING CALL: Diane M. Hinson, Supervising REHS
SITE CODE: 1968
PHONE #:
SUBJECT: 500 E. Grant Line Rd; Tracy
502 E. Grant Line Rd; Tracy
720 E. Sixth St; Tracy
MESSAGE: Ms. Giles telephoned to inquire about the remediation activities at the above referenced site and to
ascertain whether PHS-EHD has placed development restrictions upon the parceL
I explained that PHS-EHD does not have the authority to place development restrictions upon parcels; however, it is
imperative that the appurtenances relative to the remediation systems remain accessible throughout the life of the clean
up activities.
We discussed adjacent parcels and developments undergoing site investigation (Le., Southern Pacific Railroad Yard
and PG&E, 502 E. Grant Line Rd).
In our previous conversation approximately 2 months ago, I explained to Ms. Giles our policy for accessing public
records. I again mentioned that reviewing our documents relative to the investigations around the former Mobil Oil
bulk plant may provide valuable information toward the real estate development.
Michael Infuna provided the CVRWQCB staff person overseeing the Southern Pacific site. Ms. Giles will contact
Greg Vaughn for specific regulatory information. Should Mobil instruct Ms. Giles to research PHS-EHD's files, she
will contact me and make prior arrangements with our division.
CC.* Files
Copy
