The Tier 1 Tech Memo presents the scope of <br /> work and technical approach to conduct supplemental soil and soil gas investigation <br /> activities at the Site. The Final Remedial Investigation Workplan was approved by <br /> DTSC on May 1, 2008. DTSC and PG&E have entered into a Voluntary Cleanup <br /> Agreement (VCA), Docket No. HSA-VCA 07108-072,for oversight and reimbursement of <br /> activity at the Site. <br /> The Tier 1 Tech Memo was submitted by PARSONS on December 10, 2008. DTSC <br /> made comments to the Tier 1 Tech Memo in an email dated January 15, 2009 <br /> containing comments from DTSC's Geological Services Unit (GSU). A meeting was <br /> held in San Ramon, California on January 20, 2009 to discuss the comments and <br /> PARSONS replied with a letter on January 22, 2009. Further questions regarding <br /> PARSONS reply were answered on January 28, 2008. The Tier 1'Tech Memo <br /> incorporates DTSC concerns and is approved for implementation. <br /> A meeting between DTSC and PG&E representatives was held on January 20, 2009 in <br /> San Ramon, California to discuss leak check procedures for soil gas sampling. Please <br /> incorporate the January 30, 2009 letter from DTSC to Sharron Reackhof, PG&E Senior <br /> Project Manager, for further clarification of leak check procedures. A revised, February <br /> 2, 2009 "Alternative Soil Gas Ambient Air Leak Detection Protocol for using Duster" is <br /> attached. <br /> Thank you for your opportunity to comment on the Tier 1 Tech Memo.
