Chevron Products Company 3 <br /> Former Chevron Service Station 99-8632 Tracy CA November 3, 1998 <br /> ethylbenzene, and xylenes (BTEX) and methyl tertiary-butyl ether <br /> (MtBE) using EPA Method 8020. The highest reported detection (if <br /> any) of MtBE will be confirmed by EPA Method 8260 . <br /> • Monitoring Well Development, Sampling, and Analysis. The well <br /> will be developed by surging and pumping techniques. A groundwater <br /> sample will be collected from the monitoring well upon completion of <br /> well development. The groundwater samples will be sent under chain- <br /> of-custody procedures to a California State-certified laboratory, and <br /> analyzed for TPH-g and TPH-d using modified EPA Method 8015, and <br /> BTEX and MtBE using EPA Method 8020. The highest reported <br /> detection (if any) of MtBE will be confirmed by EPA Method 8260. <br /> • Well Surveying. The elevation and northings and eastings of the <br /> groundwater monitoring well will be surveyed by a licensed surveyor to <br /> a known benchmark relative to mean sea level and existing wells. <br /> • Report. A report will be prepared after completion of necessary field <br /> work. The report will include soil boring logs, well construction <br /> details, soil and groundwater analytical results, chain-of-custody <br /> documentation, and conclusions. <br /> Field and laboratory procedures are presented as Attachment A. <br /> SCHEDULE <br /> SECOR is prepared to initiate field work immediately following approval of this work <br /> plan by the SJCPHS and issuance of permits by the City of Tracy and the SJCPHS.
