Soil Suitability and Nitrate Loading Study <br /> LEON PROPERTY <br /> 228 Klo Road, Lathrop, California <br /> 1.0. INTRODUCTION AND PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (AGE) has prepared this Soil Suitability and Nitrate <br /> Loading Study(Study) for the property located at 228 Klo Road, Lathrop, California (site <br /> or subject property). The purpose of this Study is to determine the potential impact from <br /> nitrate loading and the suitability of the subsurface for an onsite wastewater treatment <br /> system (OWTS) due to the proposed addition of a residence, septic system, and the future <br /> use of the property. The study was performed in accordance with the requirements of <br /> Section 9-1105.2(d) of the San Joaquin County Community Development Department. <br /> The scope of work included a soil percolation test, groundwatersampling of the onsite <br /> domestic water well, review of published soil and groundwater information, local septic <br /> use and permit research, and estimated nitrate impact to soil and groundwater at the site. <br /> The site and surrounding area are illustrated in Figure 1. A site plan depicting structures, <br /> the locations of the percolation test hole, the domestic water well, and the existing septic <br /> system, and the planned locations of the proposed residence and septic system are <br /> illustrated in Figure 2. <br /> 1.1. DESCRIPTION OF SITE <br /> The location of the site, surrounding properties and general setting is illustrated on the <br /> Lathrop topographic map (7.5 Minute United States Geological Survey (USES) <br /> Topographic Series, California). The site is located in the southwestern portion, of <br /> Section 14, Township 1 South, Range 6 East, Mount Diablo Base and Meridian <br /> (Figure 1). <br /> The map shows the property located at an elevation of approximately 10 feet above mean <br /> sea level in an area of low topographic relief. The regional slope of the area is relatively <br /> gentle and dips toward the southwest. <br /> The property is located on the south side of Klo Road, approximately 1,500. feet west of <br /> the intersection of Klo Road and Manthey Road, Lathrop, California. The site consists of <br /> a 1.61-acre parcel identified as San Joaquin County Assessor Parcel Number(APN) 191- <br /> 240-180. The current zoning of the property is single-family. residential. The existing <br /> structures on the site include a 1,434-square foot house, an approximately 360-square <br /> foot detached garage, and a domestic water well. The property is provided potable water <br /> from the existing domestic water well located on the site (Figure 2). <br /> 1.2. DESCRIPTION OF PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT <br /> The proposed development will include adding an approximately 1,620 square foot <br /> residence and septic system in the southeast portion of the site. The new septic system <br /> is proposed to be installed in the southeast area of the site and will be connected to the <br />
