The EHD also directed the <br /> destruction of the site's monitoring wells in this letter. <br /> Cardno ATC, (formerly ATC Associates) is pleased to submit this work plan on behalf of The <br /> Customer Company describing the methods and protocols to be used to destroy the eight <br /> groundwater monitoring wells. This work:willallow for the site to be closed. <br /> SITE LOCATION <br /> The site is located at 15 East Grant Line Road in Tracy, California, as shown on Figure 1. <br /> The principal land use in the vicinity of the site consists of mixed residential and commercial <br /> purposes. The site is currently:occupied by the Bonfare Market, a convenience store with a retail <br /> fuel station. A site plan is provided as Figure 2. <br /> SITE HISTORY <br /> Two 10,000-gallon underground storage tanks(USTs).were excavated and removed from'the <br /> site on March 3, 1988. One UST was used to store leaded gasoline and the other was used to <br /> store unleaded gasoline. Groundwater was encountered in the UST excavation at approximately <br /> seven feet below ground surface(bgs). Soil samples were not collected but two groundwater <br /> samples were collected from within the excavation pit. Laboratory results indicated the <br /> groundwater had been impacted by petroleum hydrocarbons. Approximately 100 cubic yards of <br /> soil were excavated when the USTs were removed: <br /> Three groundwater monitoring wells(MW-1, MW-2, and MW-3)were installed at the site on <br /> March 29 and 30, 1988.
