' SUBSURFACE INVESTIGATION
M
L
ItSTRODUCTION
The Williams Landmark fertilizer and petroleum facility
located in Edgerton, Ohio was investigated for potential
4
subsurface contamination in response to a request by a potential
purchaser of the facility. The facility maintains both above and
below ground storage units for petroleum products. The existence
of contamination was indicated near the underground storage tank
k' T installation.
- The subsequent subsurface investigation was aimed at
delineating the areal and vertical extents of contamination. An
area approximately 50' x 75' located approximately twelve ( 12)
feet below ground surface, with a thickness defined by the water
E --
table was defined as the extents of contamination. Additionally,
it was determined that the quality of the groundwater has been
--
L` adversely affected.
This investigation was performed for Williams Landmark
Corporation of Montpelier, Ohio.
. Authorization to perform this investigation was in form of an
accepted proposal between Mr. Dale Kuenzli of Williams Landmark
{ and Alt & Witzig Engineering, Inc.
i
Page 33
70
