Iu 14G1YJ15t1 F',i
The AES site map indicates that MW-2 is the well closest to
the former underground storage tank pit.
The purpose of this letter is to propose that an additional
sample be acquired from monitoring well MW-2 in accordance with•
San Joaquin County Public Health Services Environmental Health
Division (PISS/EHD) and central valley Regional Water Quality
Control, Board (CVRWQC'B) guidelines. This sample would theta
be submitted to K Prime Analytical Laboratory of Richmond for
analysis using GCIKS. K Primer a California--state certified
hazardous -waste analytical laboratory, is a resoarch quality .
facility that has demonstrated the ability to characterize fuel `
; . . hydrocarbons with a degree of specificity that, in Uriah's
experience, is unique. we expect that K Prime will provide
a list of the specific gasoline 'range compounds actually present'
in groundwater 'at the site and the most accurate, possible
numerical representation of the concentrations of these
compounds. With this information, we may then develop a more
accurate picture as to, the potential for movement of the chemical
contaminants present in both soil and water. A relevant
workplan for further assessment of the site will then be
developed.
The Peatana Trust has authorized ZPM Technologies of Mvdeato
to perform the sampling proposed. if you approve of this
activity, the sample will be acquired within 10 days of the
receipt of .your authorization to proceed. A report of EPM's
findings will be submitted within 30 days of sampling.
1f. you have any questions or require additional information,
or if I may otherwise be of assistance, please contact sue at
(209) 551-3591 .
sin erely
John E.
