The soil-compost mixture <br /> will then be configured into a quadrilateral bed atop a bermed, <br /> polyethylene liner. PVC piping will be used to construct both <br /> the sprinkler and aeration systems so that adequate amounts <br /> of water and air can be delivered to the aerobic bacteria that <br /> will degrade the hydrocarbon contaminants. A poly liner will <br /> be placed over the bed to control bed temperature and dust. <br /> The beds will be monitored weekly during which time the sprinkler <br /> and aeration systems will be inspected and readings taken to <br /> determine levels of soil moisture and nutrients. The rate of <br /> contaminant degradation will be tracked using both certified <br /> and uncertified analyses. EPM expects to acquire final samples <br /> for certified analysis to confirm the success of the treatment <br /> process no more than 45 days after beginning treatment. <br /> A. <br />
