Jordan Site Code: 2011
298 Grantline Rd.
Tracy, CA95376
San Joaquin County Public Health Services Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD)
has reviewed the Quarterly Report prepared by Advanced GeoEnvironmental Inc_ dated
June 1998 for the above referenced site. Concentrations of contaminants increased in
Monitoring Wells (MWs) 3 and 4 since the previous sampling event.
MWs 4 and 5 were destroyed under PHS/EHD permit on July 13, 1998 in order to allow
street widening by the City of Tracy. Over excavation of contaminated soil near the
location of MW 4 occurred on September 2, 1998 as part of the City of Tracy's street
widening project. During the excavation for this project, Wright Environmental Services
Inc. over excavated contaminated soil from the street(between the previous MW4
location and the intersection of Grantline Rd. and Parker St.).
The Quarterly Report recommends approval of the previously submitted Closure
Summary Report. The following information should be submitted to PHS/EHD as an
addendum to that Closure Summary Report:
1) A complete well survey of domestic, municipal, agricultural, industrial and any
other wells within a 2,000 foot radius of this site. Contact the Department of Water
Resources, municipal water suppliers and nearby industries for well information.
Perform a physical search of the area to identify any wells. Show the locations of all
wells, submit any known construction details of the wells. Identify all sources of
information in the well survey report and clearly depict each well location as they relate
to the above referenced site. Discuss conclusions regarding public and environmental
health risks as they relate to the pumping influence of these identified wells and the
migration and potential impact of the contaminant plume proposed to be left in place.-
2)
lace.2) A discussion of the street widening activities and any information generated from
the work performed by Wright Environmental Services, Inc.
