Stockton, California
IABORA'rollY ANALYSES
A copy of a signed Authorization to Release Analytical Data form is included in Appendix
A of this work plan. 'l lie soil sample collected just above the saturated zone in the borings
and the samples collected front each boring having the highest PID reading will be
submitted for laboratory analyses. if the soil sample from just abovc the saturated Zone has
the highest reading on the field PfD, then the soil sample having the next highest rearing
on the PID will be submitted for chemical analyses. Soil sa[uples will be submitted to a
laboratory certified by the State of California for total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline
(TP14g)using Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Method 8015 with EPA extraction
Method 5030, for benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and total xylene isomers (RTEX) using
EPA Method 8020, and for total lead using EPA Method 7410. In addition, one sample
from the bottom of each boring will be submitted for permeability, sieve, and hydrometer
analyses to evaluate the physical properties of the soil. These analyses will be used to
evaluate whether an aquitard is present below the previously encountered ground water.
Nater samples collected from the three deep wells will be analyzed at a State certified
laboratory far TPHg by EPA Method 8015 with EPA extraction Method 5030 and for BTEX
using EPA Method 602. In addition, the ground-water samples from proposed wells NIW-7
and S-8 will be analyzed for nitrate-N using EPA Method 353.1 and total and fecal coliform
bacteria.
3032-4w 17
