'CONDITIONS FOR N-3335-1-0 Page: 2 <br /> 8. Provisions shall be made for laboratory samples to be taken under the supervision of the APCD inspector <br /> during the initial inspection Initial inspections shall be performed prior to the start-up of both <br /> the thermal oxidizer and the carbon system. <br /> The samples shall be analyzed for TPH and BTEX. Readings shall be taken with an FID, PID, or other <br /> District approved VOC detection device, from the same sampling ports, immediately following the <br /> laboratory samples. <br /> 10 At the time of the initial inspections, measurements shall be taken to determine the influent and <br /> effluent flow rates <br /> 11. VOC control efficiency comphance shall be demonstrated by results of laboratory samples prior to <br /> commencing system operations. <br /> 12. The thermal oxidizer shall be equipped with an operational temperature gauge to indicate the <br /> temperature of the combustion chamber. A continuous recording device shall be utilized to record the <br /> combustion chamber temperature during operation <br /> 13 The thermal oxidizer combustion chamber temreratture s1211 be ?cpt at cr bc.-e 1,'00 degree,= �hrenhe-t <br /> at all times An automatic system shall be used to shut the system down if the combustion chamber <br /> temperature drops below 1400 degrees Fahrenheit <br /> 14 The thermal oxidizer and the carbon system shall not be operated simultaneously. <br /> 15. The VOC emissions from the thermal oxidizer shall not exceed 46 9 pounds per day <br /> 16 The VOC emissions from the carbon system shall not exceed 2 0 pounds per day <br /> 17 Operation of the soil remediation system shall not exceed three years without prior District approval <br />
