WELL INSTALLATION AND <br /> SOIL BORING REPORT <br /> I <br /> at <br /> I <br /> Tosco (Former Unocal) Service Station #6981 <br /> 4707 Pacific Avenue <br /> Stockton, California <br /> Report No 140124 05 <br /> INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Tosco Marketing Company (Tosco), Gettler-Ryan Inc (GR) installed three groundwater <br /> monitoring wells, one groundwater sparging well, and advanced one soil boring at 4707 Pacific Avenue in <br /> Stockton,California Tosco requested this work in response to letters from the San Joaquin County Public <br /> Health Services-Environmental Health Division(SJCPHS-EHD)dated August 13,1997 and January 8, 1998 <br /> The scope of work included obtaining the required soil boring permits, preparing a site safety plan, <br /> advancing five soil borings to depths up to 70 feet below ground surface(bgs), converting up to four of the <br /> borings to groundwater monitoring wells and up to two of the borings to spargmg wells, collecting soil <br /> samples for chemical analysis, analyzing the soil, and preparing a report presenting the findings of the <br /> investigation This work was originally proposed in GR's Work Plan For Soil Boring and Monitoring Well <br /> Installation (ReportNo 7855 21-1),dated September 12, 1997 At the request of the SJCPHS-EHD the <br /> proposed scope of work was amended in GR's Addendum to Work Plan For Soil Boring And Monitoring <br /> Well Installation at Tosco (Former Unocal) Sation 4 6981, 4707 Pacific Avenue, Stockton, CA, dated <br /> February 17, 1999 The amended scope of work was accepted by SJCPHS-EHD in a letter dated March 10, <br /> 1999 <br /> SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> The site is an operating 76 service station dispensing unleaded gasoline and located on the northwest corner <br /> of the intersection of Pacific Avenue and March Lane(Figure 1) The site is bounded to the north and west <br /> by an asphalt paved parking lot,to the east by Pacific Avenue,and to the south by March Lane Properties <br /> in the general site vicinity are developed for commercial purposes Local topography is flat-lying,with an <br /> elevation of approximately 13 feet above mean seal level(MSL) <br /> 140124 05 <br />
