Surrogate Spike Recovery
All samples and control samples were spiked with p-Terphenyl-D 14 prior to analysis.
This surrogate percent recovery was within the control limit. The surrogate percent
recoveries for TW-5 and TW-51) were outside the control limits, the results for all the
compounds were rejected.
Matrix Spike/Matrix Spike Duplicate
The MS/MSD were analyzed with the samples in the batch. The Laboratory QC indicated
the MS and MSD %recoveries and the RPDs recoveries were within the control limits.
Laboratory Control Sample
The percent recoveries of Laboratory Control Sample for all compounds were within the
control limits.
Diesel and Heavy Hydrocarbons -Modified EPA Method—M 8015D
Holding Times
The holding time for the analysis of water samples is 7 days. The sample was analyzed
within this time period meeting this requirement.
Method Blanks
A method blank was analyzed with the samples and no contamination was detected.
Sensitivity
No dilutions were needed and therefore the laboratory met the criteria for the RLs.
Surrogate Spike Recovery
The surrogate %recoveries were within the control limits except for sample TW-
5D,however this sample is a duplicate to TW-5 and the percent recovery for the duplicate
was 97% so the result is accepted.
Matrix Spike, Matrix Spike Duplicate, the Relative Percent Differences,
The MS and MSD for diesel were analyzed with the sample and their percent recoveries
and the RPDs were within the control limits.
Laboratory Control Sample
LCS was analyzed and was within control limits.
Duplicate Samples
The result for the amount of Diesel in TW-5 was 350ug/L and TW5-D was 340 resulting
in Percent Recovery was 97%.
Gasoline Modified EPA Method—M 8015G
Holding Times
The holding time for the analysis of water samples is 7 days. The sample was analyzed
within this time period meeting this requirement.
18
