Work conducted <br /> during hours of darkness require enough illumination intensity to read a newspaper <br /> without difficulty. Working at night requires prior notification of the Facility Health and <br /> Safety Representative. <br /> oo Common paths of travel should be established and kept free from the accumulation of <br /> materials. <br /> Slips, Trips, and Falls oo Provide slip-resistant surfaces, ropes, and/or other devices to be used. <br /> oo Specific areas should be designated for the proper storage of materials. Tools, equipment, <br /> materials, and supplies will be stored in an orderly manner. <br /> oo As work progresses, scrap and unessential materials must be neatly stored or removed <br /> from the work area. Containers for trash and other debris will be provided and will be <br /> removed at regular intervals. <br /> oo All spills will be quickly cleaned up. Oil and grease will be cleaned from walking and <br /> working surfaces. <br /> 00 Handle containers carefully to reduce the potential for glass breakage <br /> oo Wear gloves to minimize the potential for chemicals on the outside of packages to contact <br /> Packing sample for the skin. <br /> off-site shipment to lab 00 Use bubble wrap or other appropriate material to pad and or encapsulate containers to <br /> minimize potential for glass breakage. <br /> Training Requirements: <br /> All assigned employees are required to familiarize themselves with the contents of this AHA before starting a work activity and review it with their Supervisor during their <br /> Daily Safety Huddle. <br /> A-2 <br />
