TENTATIVE WASTE DISCHARGE REQUIREMENTS ORDER NO. -10- <br /> KRUGER FOODS / SMS BRINERS <br /> VEGETABLE BRINING FACILITY <br /> CLASS lI SURFACE IMPOUNDMENT CLOSURE <br /> SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br /> Task Compliance Date <br /> a. Surface Impoundment Closure <br /> i. Remove any remaining liquid or solid 15 June 2004 <br /> wastes from the surface impoundments <br /> and discharge appropriately. <br /> ii. Document the clean closure of the two 31 October 2004 <br /> surface impoundments in a matter that <br /> complies with Section 21400 of Title <br /> 27. <br /> b. Evaluation Monitoring Program <br /> i. Present a detailed assessment of the 15 September 2004 <br /> vertical and horizontal extent of the <br /> release from the unit. The limit shall be <br /> defined by the water quality protection <br /> standard for each zone as presented in <br /> Finding 23 of this Order. <br /> c. Corrective Action Monitoring Program <br /> i. The discharger shall implement 15 October 2004 <br /> corrective action measures to ensure that <br /> the Water Quality Protection Standards <br /> defined in Finding 23 are achieved at all <br /> Monitoring Points and throughout the <br /> zone effected by the release. <br /> ii. The discharger shall establish and 15 October 2004 <br /> implement a water quality monitoring <br /> program to demonstrate the <br /> effectiveness of the corrective action <br /> program. Such a monitoring program <br /> can be based on the requirements for an <br /> evaluation monitoring program(under <br /> 420425), and shall be effective in <br /> determining compliance with the Water <br /> Quality Protection Standard in Finding <br /> 23. <br /> iii. The discharger shall submit semi-annual January 31s`and June <br /> progress reports, on the effectiveness of 30a' each year <br /> the corrective action program. <br />
