These items are: (1) items identified in Appendix B of "Tri-Regional Board Staff
Recommendations for Preliminary Investigation and Evaluation of Underground Tank Sites" that
have not already been submitted to your office, and (2) boring logs for all site wells and a
hydrogeologic cross-section parallel to the pipeline and extending from (former) MW-7 to MW-
15.
Appendix B of Tri-Regional Recommendations• "Requests for Closure"
Most of the material required in the closure report has been submitted previously to RWQCB.
Each of the 11 requirements are addressed as follows:
1. Distance to production wells for municipal, domestic, agriculture, industry or other uses
within 2000 feet of the site.
Geomatrix performed a well search for the site vicinity using files of the Department of Water
Resources (DWR) on 23 February 1996. We have summarized the information gathered on the
attached figure and table. The locations of the wells were listed in DWR files to the 1/4 1/4
Section. The figure shows the site and the number of wells within each 1/4 1/4 Section that are
within 2000 feet of the site. Available information about the wells is provided on the attached
table; most of the wells identified are more than 250 feet from the site and are screened at depths
of approximately 90 feet or deeper.
Geomatrix Consultants, Inc.
Engineers,Geologists,and Environmental Scientists
