As described in the attached letter, Chevron <br /> Environmental Management Company(CEMC) requests that the California Regional Water <br /> Quality Control Board, Central Valley Region (RWQCB), consider the approval of the use of <br /> four grab groundwater borings to characterize groundwater quality immediately downgradient of <br /> affected soil. <br /> In June 2000, CEMC initiated contact with Mr. William Filios, the new landowner of the site and <br /> anticipates that a site access agreement will be executed in early September. Pending RWQCB <br /> approval of the revisions to the work plan by September 8, 2000, CEMC intends to perform the <br /> work in mid to late September..
