1 WALLACE - KUHL GROUNDWATER MONITORING WELL INSTALLATION
Er ASSOCIATES INC. WORKPLAN
i
Mountain House Specific Plan III Storm Water Detention Basin
1 Mountain House, California
WKA No. 6504.05
' August 26, 2005
1 INTRODUCTION
' To support the design of a storm water detention basin within the proposed
Mountain House development, four groundwater monitoring wells will be
installed. The purpose of the monitoring wells will be to obtain groundwater
1 ' elevation, gradient, and flow direction data, and to collect groundwater samples to
!
identify baseline water quality parameters. The data will be used by the civil
engineering contractor and landscape engineer to determine design parameters for
1" the detention basin and selection of plants best suited for the quality of water
encountered. The site location, preliminary location of the detention basin, and
1 proposed well locations are shown on Figure 1. Three of the four proposed wells
are located on San Joaquin County Assessor's Parcel Number(APN) 209-060-031
at 19855 West Grant Line Road and the fourth well is located on APN 209-060-
011 at 19300 West Grant Line Road. The site is located within a predominately
agricultural area that is currently a combination of fallow and hay cropland.
t
' FIELD ACTIVITIES
' Four groundwater monitoring wells will be installed at the locations presented on
Figure 1. The scope of work for the installation of the groundwater monitoring
wells will include:
• Obtaining a well permit from the San Joaquin County Environmental
1 Health Department;
• Drilling four borings to a depth of approximately 25 feet below ground
1surface;
• Constructing a monitoring well in each of the four borings;
• Developing each monitoring well;
l
