Box 2009 <br /> Stockton, CA 95201 <br /> RE: ADDENDUM TO REPORT OF SOIL REMEDIATION <br /> DOANE PRODUCTS COMPANY <br /> TRACY,CALIFORNIA (SJCPHS SITE CODE 2441) <br /> Dear Ms. Meays: <br /> • This Addendum to the "Report of Soil Remediation" has been prepared by <br /> Bruning Associates, Inc (BAI), dated February 17, 1992, on behalf of Doane Products <br /> Company (DPC) for the site located at 450 E. Grantline Road, Tracy, California. This <br /> Addendum addresses the concerns of the San Joaquin County Public Health <br /> Services (SJCPHS) expressed in a March 26, 1992 correspondence to Mr. Bob <br /> Robinson of DPC. The SJCPHS has requested the following items be addressed in <br /> this Addendum, <br /> • The installation of a groundwater monitoring well to replace the well <br /> that was destroyed during the December 1991 remedial excavation, <br /> • Recommendations for the disposal and/or remediation of the stockpile <br /> soils; <br /> • Mitigation of the residual soil contamination which remained at the <br /> conclusion of the over-excavation activities in December 1991. <br /> The above concerns are addressed below in the order in which they are listed above. <br /> 4 <br /> GROUNDWATER WELL INSTALLATION <br /> • A replacement groundwater well will be installed at a location outside the remedial <br /> excavation backfill but within close proximity to the former piezometer P-1. This <br /> well is intended to replace P-1 which was destroyed during over-excavation <br />
